The best way to determine proper feeding guidelines for your pet is by utilizing our online feeding calculator found here. This tool allows you to enter in the unique characteristics of your pet to determine the proper feeding amount, including weight and life stage.
Transitioning to ZIWI
A sudden change in diet or overfeeding can result in digestive issues. ZIWI Peak is nutrient dense. A little goes a long way, don’t be surprised if you feed less! Introduce a new recipe slowly over 6-8 days, gradually increasing the amount of the new recipe while decreasing the old, until you are fully transitioned.
Ways to Feed
For optimum health we recommend you feed 100% ZIWI Peak. However, if you wish to feed ZIWI Peak with another food such as raw meat, kibble, freeze dried, cans or any other food type you can at any ratio you like. ZIWI Peak can be fed in many different ways as your pet’s sole daily food, as a nutritious topper on your existing food or as a tasty treat.
Storage Instructions
We recommend you feed our air-dried food before the printed Best Before date and within 8 weeks of opening the package; however, these dates are intended as guidelines. If the product is not stored in its sealed bag, it can be exposed to air and/or moisture which could cause the food to become dry and brittle, or could create the potential for mold to grow; either of these would be an indicator that the food has not been stored properly and should no longer be consumed by your pet.
